Description

Her Ramblers are:

Travis Fite, Jared Tyler, Shelby Eicher, Casey van Beek.

Monica Taylor earned the nickname, The Cimarron Songbird, for her distinctive singing style, her Cherokee heritage and her home near the Cimarron River in Oklahoma. For more than three decades she has been writing songs from the heart and has recorded and performed with a litany of famed Red Dirt, country and bluegrass musicians including Jimmy LaFave, John Fullbright, Jared Tyler, Robin Macy, and the godfather of Red Dirt, Bob Childers. Her western Swing band The Cherokee Maidens & Sycamore Swing were nominated for western heritage band of the year, albums of the year, and 2 of their self penned songs were nominated for songs of the year.

Monica has worked with many performers on stages across the country. Garrison Keillor, Asleep at the Wheel, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ellis Paul, Sam Baker, Keith Carradine and others. With a sound like Emmylou Harris and a slight yodel in her voice, Monica captivates you her vocals.

On this September 30th evening, Taylor will play the songs from their new album Trains, Rivers, & Trails July, 2022 release. She will also featured members of her band on their own tunes.

The CD was released in July, but the Vinyl record version of this recording, and the T-shirts, 3 pieces of jewelry designed and commissioned for the album, will also be available on this night.
