The Tulsa Playboys under the direction of Shelby Eicher
Friday evening, January 27th, 2023
Concert AND Dance!!    7-9:30pm, with Potluck dinner open to all at 6pm

The Old Church, Oklahoma Territorial Plaza, 750 N. Main Street, Perkins, Oklahoma
We’re pushing the chairs to the wall, making room for dance floor!  AHHHH haaa! Plenty of room for seating -but, especially for dancers!
The fabulous Janet Rutland and I will also be singing with the Playboys on a few tunes… We will also be joining in with the Western swing dancing! Pull out you best western styled duds, shine up your boots or dancing shoes, dust off your hat, and practice up on your Bob Wills Hollar!
Share this concert and dance information with your friends and folks who you think would enjoy scooting a boot and just enjoying our very comfy and cushiony chairs here at The Old Church!
The Old Church sits amongst a dozen other Territorial era buildings (1890’s) from this beautiful Cimarron River valley.  This town is also called the Queen of the Cimarron. The Oklahoma State University mascot since the year that my parents began at OSU, Pistol Pete (Frank Eaton), raised his family right here in Perkins (Oklahoma,) His kids attended the Perkins schools, as did this Red Dirt girl (Monica Taylor!)  I love this town and am really proud of the dedication that our Perkins Community Foundation has put into developing The Oklahoma Territorial Plaza; with donation of the land and the purchasing of the area historical buildings and moving them to this land.  The Old Church sits smack dab in the middle of this beautiful collection of structures.
We will have a couple of docents for the plaza there Saturday afternoon to take you on a tour of the buildings from 5pm until the show begins at 7pm.
Potluck dinner at 6pm!!   This has been an incredibly popular time for folks to come early before every Cimarron Breeze concert.   You can save a chair as close or far away as you want for the evening, meet lots of new friends, and of course try out all of the potluck dishes!   Our motto for this 6pm dinner is:  Bring a yummy dish… or, just a hungry belly!
Check out the video of Shelby Eicher singing a song that he and my Cherokee Maidens & Sycamore Swing bandmate, Robin Lynn Macy, wrote.   The Tulsa Playboys AND the Cherokee Maidens each recorded this tune!  Check out Each of their recordings on their websites:     The Tulsa Playboys   The Cherokee Maidens
AHHHHHHH haaaa!  Practice this… this is the Bob Wills hollar’ and get your tickets
now!   What a wonderful Christmas gift this would be for folks to receive! Something to look forward to after all the holiday festivities are over.
