Description

What is Dawg Music, you might ask? You could say Grisman’s combination of Django Reinhardt-era jazz, bluegrass, folk, Old World Mediterranean string band music, as well as modern jazz fusion came to embody “Dawg” music. Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead started calling him “Dawg” after a dog that was following him while they were driving in California.

Shelby Eicher has been spearheading a Dawg tribute album and this concert is bearing the first fruit of that labor With sons Nathan Eicher on upright bass, Isaac Eicher on mandolin, and Kentucky White on guitar, it’s going to be a family affair.

Kentucky will perform an opening set with his lovely wife Robin Lynn Macy of songs from the Big Twang and Songs from the Garden recordings.

Potluck and doors open at 6 p.m. Music starts at 7 p.m.
