Our friend Terry ‘Buffalo’ Ware, will open us back up with a show on Thursday, December 30th with his band, the Shambles, and the Sunday Flyers. Terry has performed with John Fullbright, Joel Rafael, Eliza Gilkyson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Michael Fracasso, Susan Herndon, Don Conoscenti, Miss Brown to You, Red Dirt Rangers, Bob Childers, Greg Jacobs, Ellis Paul, Wanda Jackson and, as leader the house band at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, with David Amram, Ronny Elliott, Sam Baker, Rob McNurlin, Susan Gibson, Nancy Apple, Emily Kaitz and many more.
I’ve known this man for almost two decades. Buffalo is also a wonderful songwriter and band leader with more than half a dozen solo and collaborative albums that he’s produced. He has a way of playing just the right note and giving each song just the right feel — no matter if it’s one he’s heard and played before or is just hearing it on the spot. Terry is also one of the most respected and beloved men in the music business, not just in Oklahoma — but by artists all over the world.
We’re pleased to have he and his band back for one special night to get the month of 2022 started right.
Potluck and doors open at 6 p.m. Bring food or just come hungry. Music starts at 7 p.m.
